What we do

Steel fabrication

All fabrication is carried out in our manufacturing plant in Killumney by fully qualified fabricators and welders. Our 55,000 sq ft workshop, with thirteen overhead cranes and CNC drilling, sawing and plate lines fed directly from the 3D model, produces in excess of 100 tonnes a week to meet demanding programmes.

Steel erection

Our erection crews are directly employed, experienced and trained in the latest work procedures and the safe use of plant. We regularly work inside live pharmaceutical plants, engaging fully with each site’s safety culture and the client’s construction management team.

Connection design, detailing & BIM

We offer fully accredited steel connection design and temporary-works design, carried out with Denis O’Sullivan & Associates, and detail every structure in Tekla Structures. We can join a project at concept, planning or pre-construction stage, on performance-specification or design-and-build packages.

Floor decking & shear studs

We supply and install composite floor metal decking and shear studs as part of the steel package — including 1,875 m² on Pfizer’s Paxlovid project and 1,450 m² plus 840 m² of chequer plate on Eli Lilly IE2B Phase II. Our mobile studding rig means studs are fixed on site without waiting on others.

Fireproofing & surface finishes

Our dedicated fireproofing paint shop applies intumescent protection to 60, 90 and 120-minute ratings under controlled conditions before the steel leaves the yard — 25,000 m² on MSD Carlow 2 alone. Priming and galvanising are also available, with shotblasting before and after fabrication.

Specialist metalwork

We manufacture the metalwork that completes a structural steel project: staircases, handrail, flooring, chequer plate and decking, detailed in the same model as the frame so everything fits first time.
